Established in 1981 by four Southwestern Ontario Power Transmission and Bearing distributors. Co-operative business model – IDI’s “members” are IDI’s shareholder owners. 100% Canadian.

All IDI shareholders are independently-owned distributors – publicly-traded companies are not permitted in IDI.

More than 140 IDI-approved vendor relationships, covering both the lines that our shareholders market, as well as the costs shareholders incur to operate their businesses. IDI shareholders channel close to $200M of their spend through the co-operative. $8,000,000 – $10,000,000 in annual savings, rebates, discounts, and incremental revenues are returned back to our shareholders.
